Overnight Maple Oats with Ready Crisp Bacon

Ingredients

1/2 cup (125 mL) quick oats

1/2 cup (125 mL) milk

1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) maple syrup

1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) vanilla

Pinch salt

1 slice Maple Leaf Ready Crisp Full Cooked Natural Bacon

250 mL jar with lid

Directions

Place oats in jar. Pour in milk, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. Stir.

Place lid on jar and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Heat bacon according to package directions and chop.

Remove lid from jar and microwave until mixture is warm, 30 to 45 seconds. Stir oats and sprinkle with bacon. Drizzle with more maple syrup if desired.

Tip: Replace milk with milk alternative for a dairy-free breakfast.
