Crispy Natural Top Dogs™ and Mocktail

Ingredients

6 Maple Leaf® Natural Top Dogs™ Original Hot Dogs

3 sheets of phyllo pastry

½ cup of melted butter

1 cup of grated parmesan cheese

1 tbsp chopped thyme

Strawberry Lemonade “Spritzer” Mocktail
1 cup (250 mL) of ginger ale

1 cup (250 mL) of fresh lemonade

3 strawberries, finely chopped

1 whole strawberry for garnishing

Directions

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Cut phyllo sheet in half.

Brush 1/2 sheet of phyllo with melted butter, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and thyme.

Place hot dog at the bottom of the phyllo and roll as tight as possible. Brush top of roll with melted butter.

Repeat with remain hot dogs.

Place on baking sheet and bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

Let cool for 2 or 3 minutes and cut into bite size pieces using a serrated knife.

Tips:
Place the rolls so that the seam of the phyllo is on the baking sheet so it doesn’t unravel while cooking.
Serve as a fun snack or appetizer with grainy mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Strawberry Lemonade “Spritzer” Mocktail
In a glass, combine lemonade and ginger ale along with the ice.

Add the finely chopped strawberry pieces.

Use the last strawberry for garnishing.

Tips:
To be garnished with a fruit “kabob”.
