
Maple Leaf 50/50™ Italian Burger
Ingredients
2 227 gram packages Maple Leaf 50/50 Burgers
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp sundried tomatoes, oil drained and minced
4 slices of mozzarella cheese or fresh buffalo mozzarella
1 cup arugula or shredded romain
4 sesame seed hamburger buns, split
Basil – optional
Directions
Preheat bbq to medium high heat.
In a small bowl combine mayonnaise and sundried tomatoes, stir well to combine. Set aside.
Grill burgers per package directions.
Assemble burgers by dividing and spreading mayo mixture onto base of each bun.
Place burger over top followed by cheese, greens and basil if using.
Top with remaining bun. Serve immediately.
Tip: Serve with a side Caesar salad. When 50/50 is cooked, the meat ingredients will brown (as they normally would,) but the beet powder in the product will keep its pink colour. To ensure it’s fully cooked, please be sure to cook Maple Leaf 50/50™ products to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
