
Summer Fresh Maple Leaf 50/50™ Sausage Dinner
Ingredients
1 pkg Maple Leaf 50/50™ Mild Italian Sausage
2 cups fresh peas, cooked and drained
1/3 cup feta crumbled
1 ½ tbsp fresh mint
Salt
Pepper
1 tbsp butter, softened
4 russet potatoes, baked
Directions
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and cook sausage per package directions. Keep warm.
In a skillet melt butter and add cooked peas, mint and season with salt and pepper. Warm through and sprinkle feta over top.
Serve sausage as a complete meal with peas, and warm baked potato.
Tip: Try your favorite BBQ sauce as a dip with your sausage. Create a fun topping bar for your baked potatoes using sour cream, soft butter, herbs, cheeses and bacon. To avoid bursting, cook on low to medium heat.
