Lemon Pepper Sweet Potato Poutine

  • Ingredients

    • 2pieces Maple Leaf Prime® Lemon Pepper Chicken Thighs
    • 1(500g pkg) sweet potato fries, prepared
    • 1cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
    • ¼cup spring onions, finely chopped
    • 2tbsp Creamy Garlic Lemon Mayo, prepared
    • Creamy Garlic Lemon Mayo

    • 1large egg
    • 1tbsp Dijon mustard
    • 1tbsp white vinegar
    • 1cup (240 ml) canola oil
    • 1teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    • 4cloves garlic, roasted salt
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Bake chicken thighs for 30 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached. Allow to cool slightly.
    3. Using a fork, shred chicken away from bone. Set aside.
    4. Prepare fries according to package instructions.
    5. Arrange cooked fries on a large serving tray.
    6. Top fries with cooked chicken and shredded cheese. Drizzle the Creamy Garlic Lemon Mayo over top and garnish with finely chopped spring onions.

    Creamy Garlic Lemon Mayo

    1. Add egg to the small bowl of a food processor and process for 20 seconds. Add the mustard, vinegar, roasted garlic, and salt. Process for another 20 seconds.
    2. Turn the food processor on then begin to slowly add the oil.
    3. When all the oil has been added, scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl and process for an extra 10 seconds. Add extra salt, lemon juice, or vinegar to taste.

Remaining 6 cuts of chicken in the box can be roasted at 375° F for 30-35 minutes until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached. Serve with warm pita bread.

    • 1(375g pkg) Maple Leaf® Natural Original Smoked Sausage, diced
    • 4slices Maple Leaf® Original Natural Bacon, diced
    • ½cup cauliflower
    • ¼cup oats – finely ground
    • 3medium eggs
    • ½cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • Salt & Pepper
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the grill to 350°F.
    2. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
    3. Cook diced sausage and bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the fat and set aside to cool slightly.
    4. In a large mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Add the cheese, cauliflower, oats, and fully cooked bacon and sausage. Mix until combined.
    5. Fill the prepared muffin cups about ¾ full. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the grill to 350°F.
    2. While grill heats, scramble and cook 3 medium eggs as an omelet, set aside.
    3. Using a serrated knife, cut buns in half, lengthwise, and place on a tray. Remove top part of bun and set aside.
    4. Place the pineapple slices on the grill for 2 minutes per side. Set aside.
    5. Spread the Pineapple BBQ sauce on both sides of the buns.

  • Preparation

    1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
    2. Lay tortillas on a clean surface and spread hummus onto each one. Place tomato, lettuce, avocado, and cheese over top.
    3. Grill hot dogs, turning frequently until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached.
    4. Place two hot dogs overtop each of the tortillas. Fold in ends of tortilla and roll tightly.
    5. Place tortilla seam side down onto grill for 1-2 minutes. Turn and grill for 1-2 minutes longer or until browned.
    6. Slice in half and serve immediately.

Inverted Bacon Chicken Strips

  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Keep the frozen chicken strips at room temperature for 5 min. Cut open each chicken strip and stuff with cheese.
    3. Wrap each chicken strip with 2 slices of bacon. Place the chicken strips, seam side down, on baking sheet.
    4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bacon is crisp and chicken strips have cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.

BBQ Top Dog Tacos

    • 6Maple Leaf® Natural Top Dogs™
    • 6stand and stuff taco shells
    • 1cup lettuce, shredded
    • 1cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • ¼cup tomato salsa
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat BBQ to 350 F.
    2. Turn off one side of the bbq and place the taco shells on indirect heat.
    3. Add half the cheese to the tacos and cook until the cheese has melted.
    4. While the cheese is melting, cook the hot dogs on other half of grill according to package instructions.
    5. Place the cooked hot dogs into the taco shells and top with the remaining cheese. 
    6. Cook the taco for 2 to 3 more minutes until the cheese has melted.
    7. Top tacos with lettuce and salsa and serve.

Maple Leaf Chicken and Waffles

    • 8Maple Leaf Prime® Dino Nuggets
    • 4Belgian waffles
    • ½cup maple syrup
    • 8toothpicks
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 425 F
    2. Place Dino Nuggets on a baking sheet and bake per package instructions.
    3. While the nuggets are cooking cook the waffles per pack instructions.
    4. Place the maple syrup in the microwave and reheat for 10 to 15 seconds.
    5. Cut each waffle into 4 squares.
    6. Place each Dino Nuggets on a piece of waffle. Add another piece of waffle on top and skewer with a toothpick to hold everything together.
    7. Drizzle warm maple syrup over the waffles just before serving.

Deluxe Pepperoni Pizza Toast

    • 24slices of Maple Leaf Natural Selections Pepperoni
    • 4thick cut slices round sour dough bread
    • 2125 gram balls fresh mozzarella, sliced into 12 rounds
    • 8tbsp olive oil
    • 1tbsp Italian seasoning
    • 4tbsp pizza sauce, warm
    • 2tbsp parmesan, grated
    • 6slices large tomato
    • Basil – garnish
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to low broil setting. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Drizzle olive oil onto each side of bread. Place toast onto baking sheet and broil toast for about 1 minute per side or until just golden. Remove from oven.
    3. Assemble toast by layering cheese, followed by tomato sauce, tomato slices and pepperoni. Sprinkle seasoning and parmesan cheese over top.
    4. Broil for about 3 to 4 minutes until cheese has melted and pepperoni has started to crisp.
    5. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and garnish with basil if desired.

Everything Bagel Hot Dog Twister

  • Preparation

    1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
    2. Unroll crescent dough onto a cutting board. Carefully tear at perforated cut into 4 large squares of dough. Using your fingers cinch the perforation cutting diagonal with each square of dough. Cut each square lengthwise. You should have 8 strips of seamless dough. 
    3. Twist each piece of dough around each hot dog.
    4. Place seasoning on to a large plate. Roll each hot dog into the seasoning pressing down gently so it adheres to the dough. Place each coated hot dog onto prepared baking sheet.
    5. Bake in oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown and hot dog cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
    6. Serve immediately with a side of mustard or ketchup to dip.
